How to install Wordpress on localhost - wamp server Very Easy Tutorial With Video

In this tutorial I will show you how to download wordpress and install it your localhost (your pc) .

The benefits of installing wordpress on localhost is if you are not familiar with wordpress and just trying to learn it you don't have to buy any server nor domain. You can do all your experiments like testing plugins ,themes before using them on your live site. You don't have to worry about your site being hacked because your wordpress installed on your pc will only be accessible by you.

Here is a video I've created showing how to download and Install localhost (wamp server) and then Install Wordpress on localhost.

First Go to wampserver.com and download Wamp Server. Download either 32 bit or 64 bit according to your pc. If you are not aware if you are using 32 bit or 64 bit which is highly unlikely download the 32 bit version.

Now Install Wamp Server on your Pc watch the video if you need help with installing wamp on your pc.

Now create a database for your wordpress installation using Phpmyadmin. Type localhost in your browser then click on Phpmyadmin as shown in the video now on the login screen put root in the username and leave password blank.

Now Click on the Database Tab then fill your database name and click create database.

Now Download Wordpress and then copy it in your local wamp server directory.

Local Drive C:/wamp/www/

Now go to C:/wamp/www/wordpress where you extracted the downloaded file. You will be prompted to create a configuration file.

In the Database name use the name we used during creating database with phpmyadmin. In username put root leave password blank and leave other 2 options default.

Now put your site title whatever you want you can change it later also. You admin username ,password email and you are done.

If you see this screen it means you have successfully installed wordpress in your localhost.
